Champion's Insights

Goals:   My long-term plan is to qualify for and represent the United States at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. My objective is to win a medal during each of these games. At the 2004 Olympic Trials my goal is to long jump at least 23 feet and earn an Olympic berth. With the assistance of my immediate support team W. Curtis Stitt (Head Coach), Mr. Fred Barends (Coach) and Mr. David Key (Strength Coach) I have complete confidence that I will achieve these goals. My immediate goal is to commitment to training throughout 2002 and 2003, identifying and acquiring the resources needed to do so and qualifying for both the USA Track & Field Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

Leadership:   Dickinson, Leone, & Frank leadership scholarship 2001; NCAA Leadership Conference in Orlando Florida 1999; Leadership seminar at University of Akron 1997; Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC); President and spokesperson 2000, Vice president 1999, Council Member 1998; Mid-American Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council Member 2000.
